Meet Tomás Silva.

Tomas is a passionate Ayurvedic Practitioner, holding an honours qualification from the prestigious Ayurveda Institute UK and training in Panchakarma acquired in the birthplace of Ayurveda, Kerala (India). With a diverse skill set, he is also a Cacao healer and a qualified Mindfulness Teacher certified by Mindfulness in Schools (MISP). Hailing from Bahia (Brazil). Tomas's upbringing with a native indigenous and Afro-Brazilian background has deeply rooted him in ancestral wisdom and ancient knowledge.

Tomas's profound connection to nature traces back to his childhood, where he gleaned invaluable wisdom from his mother and grandmother about the magical world of plants, their intricate properties, and their healing potential. His formative years were spent immersing himself in the abundant flora of Bahia, climbing fruit trees, collecting flowers, and gathering aromatic herbs. At the tender age of 10, Tomas began harvesting herbs from the garden and preparing herbal medicines for his family members. To this day, his loved ones seek his counsel when seeking remedies for any imbalances they may experience.
Early in his journey as a healer, Tomas's passion for food as medicine led him to delve deeply into the study of cacao and its remarkable therapeutic properties. Founding Cacao Therapy, Tomas creates artisan chocolates and prepares cacao-based elixirs for ceremonies, drawing from ancient indigenous knowledge.
His initial fascination with Ayurveda arose in 2012 when Tomas sought a natural approach to address his allergies and acne. After exhausting allopathic remedies without achieving a lasting cure, his homoeopathic doctor recommended exploring Ayurveda. Motivated by this advice, Tomas embarked on an extensive journey of self-education, devouring various books and delving into the concept of addressing the root cause of imbalances and personalized treatment plans, which resonated deeply with him. It was during his first Ayurvedic consultation that Tomas experienced the profound healing power of this ancient science, as it successfully cured his acne and allergic conditions. At that transformative moment, he knew he was destined to become an Ayurvedic Practitioner.
Under the guidance of Dr Deepika Rodrigo, B.A.M.S., a renowned physician and Director of the Ayurvedic Clinic, principal lecturer and Director of the Ayurveda Institute UK, and Director of the Association of Ayurvedic Professionals UK, Tomas completed his rigorous Ayurvedic training. Additionally, he had the privilege of learning from Dr. Wathsala Wijesinghe, B.A.M.S., MSc, M.D., a senior Ayurvedic physician with nearly 25 years of continuous clinical practice spanning diverse settings from rural communities to hospitals and private clinics across different countries.
In his unwavering pursuit of Ayurvedic knowledge, Tomas embarked on a transformative journey to the birthplace of Ayurveda, Kerala, India. Immersed in the roots of this ancient wisdom, he sought to deepen his understanding by studying at a renowned traditional Ayurvedic hospital. There, he underwent comprehensive training in Panchakarma and Ayurvedic Massage, delving into the Ayurvedic therapeutic principles and practices. This immersive experience has fortified Tomas's expertise, enabling him to provide clients with an authentic ayurvedic guidance rooted in ancient wisdom.
